First things first, we installed the hawse fairlead to our winch plate. Next we sat the winch on the plate and temporarily hooked up the power wires, just so we could wind the synthetic rope onto the drum.

Now for the fun part. It's time to bolt the winch to the mounting plate. It also helps if you have a friend to move the winch for you and you line up the holes. Once you have all four bolts in, tighten them down and the winch will be securely mounted.

Next on the list are the power wires. Since this is an integrated winch, these are the only two wires that you have to hook up. So we tucked them behind the passenger side of the winch, and went on top of the swaybar and crossmember.

Once that is done, we came up the passenger side of the engine bay and wrapped the wires are shown. Be careful not to route them next to any moving engine parts.

Then to take up the extra slack, we routed the wires around behind the battery. Now unhook the ground wire from the battery, then install the winch power wires. When those are hooked up, reattach the negative cable to the battery. Just a fair warning, as the horn will blow when you hook it back up.

Now go back through and check the power wires, make sure they are not binding or rubbing anything. Also double check the mounting bolts on the winch itself.

These pictures don't do the winch justice as Superwinch's new glossy black finish really shines when it's outside. This winch also compliments the Body Armor front bumper and winch plate.
