Rear Bumper Removal Instructions

Our Mission: To build up a new stock 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JK with our most popular Jeep accessories to make it an ideal Daily Driver AND Weekend Wheeler; and to do so without voiding Chryslers Limited Lifetime Warranty. Interior and exterior accessories as well as Jeep performance parts will all be installed on the new Wrangler.

Here are the instructions for removing the OEM factory Jeep rear bumper from the Jeep Wrangler JK.

Alright, so on the outside of both sides on the jeep you will see these brackets. You only have to unbolt the ones on the frame, because others will keep the bracket with the bumper, but you can unbolt them as well if you want to. Next you will need to look on both sides of the muffler. There is a little bracket with a bolt on bottom (crossmember) and top (bumper). You'll need to remove these as well.

Here's a pic of the hard to see top bolt. Once those are removed, the bumper will just slide right off. It's not heavy at all, but another person helps, because of the akward size. That's it, we've got the old bumper off.
