Dynatrac's Pro-Series Diff Covers are a well recieved addition to our project JK. So lets get the old thin stock one off right now.

Before you start, i'd suggest gathering up all the tools you need: drain pan, wrenches, paint scraper, rags, new gear oil, etc. Once you've collected everything we need to start removing the bolts that hold the stock diff cover in place.

To do this you will need to start at the bottom and work your way up to the top. We left the top 2 bolts in place, just loosened, so the fluid could drain without a huge mess. Once most of the fluid has drained out you can remove the last two bolts and lay the stock diff cover aside.

While the last little bit of fluid is draining, it's be a good idea to scrape around the flat surface to remove any old gasket and rtv.
