Synthetic Winch Rope has a higher breaking strength than that of steel cable of the same diameter, and remarkably weighs less than 1/6. Synthetic Winch Rope won't get all wound-up like cable when unspooled. Synthetic winch rope can't develop sharp frays, and it doesn't conduct electricity or heat (won't freeze your hands in winter either).
An aluminum hawse fairlead is recommended for use with synthetic winch rope. Never use a roller style fairlead with synthetic winch rope, unless they are polyurethane.NEW Daystar Polyrethane Rope Rollers allow you to use synthetic rope with the benefits of a roller fairlead.
